Ensuring a precise and comfortable saddle fit is essential for your horse’s well-being and performance. The Measuring Gullet Gauge is the ideal tool for assessing your horse’s saddle fit with accuracy, and it's fully compatible with our new range of gullet plates: Monarch, Genesis, Flair, Sterling and KLL.

How to Use the Measuring Gullet Gauge:

1. Position the Saddle
   Place the saddle in the riding position on your horse’s back. Mark a reference point directly beneath the saddle nail by carefully parting the coat for an easy visual guide.

2. Prepare the Gullet Gauge
   Once the saddle is removed, place the PE Gullet Gauge over your horse’s withers, aligning it with the reference point you marked earlier for accurate measurement.

3. Fit the Gauge
   Ensure the gauge rests comfortably on your horse’s back, making sure it is clear of the withers for a precise reading.

4. Find the Correct Gullet Size
   The PE Gullet Gauge will indicate the correct coloured gullet that corresponds to your horse’s fit from our new interchangeable range of gullet plates: Monarch, Genesis, Flair, Sterling, or KLL.

Routine Checks for the Best Fit
To ensure ongoing comfort and performance, we recommend checking your saddle fit with the PE Gullet Gauge every 3-4 months.
